Collection description
This dataset consists of coded exerts 24 focus group discussions (FGDs) and 31 key informant interviews (KIIs) conducted across six environmentally and socio-ecologically diverse districts in Uganda between October 2023 and March 2024. FGDs were conducted separately with community leaders, men, women, and teenagers, while KIIs were undertaken with medical doctors, veterinarians, traditional healers, district surveillance officers, and herdsmen.
Participants were recruited using purposive and stratified purposive sampling approaches.
The dataset was collected to investigate perceptions of human-animal-tick interactions and related disease risks in Uganda and forms the basis of the associated manuscript.
