Collection description

This qualitative dataset was collected as part of the PACES (Physical Activity and social ConnectednESs) study, which explored how major life transitions influence physical activity and social connectedness among adults aged 55–75 years in Scotland.

The dataset comprises qualitative data from 27 participants living in South Lanarkshire and Renfrewshire, exploring experiences of life transitions including bereavement, relocation, becoming a carer and retirement. The data capture participants’ experiences and perspectives on how these transitions shaped their physical activity and social connectedness, including changes in opportunities, motivations, behaviours and social relationships.
