Collection description

Interview data underpinning undergraduate dissertation.

This data consists of handwritten notes taken from three interviews conducted with former miners who were involved in the 1984-5 UK miners’ strike. These personal testimonies of the conflict were used to contextualise work in an undergraduate dissertation on unpublished and unheard poetry from the strike, and were woven through the work to challenge the idea of a ‘top down’ historiography.
