The DrAM (Drinking Attitudes in Mid-life) study was a qualitative research project conducted between 2009 and 2011 in Scotland to explore the social context, experiences, and understandings of alcohol consumption among adults aged 30–50. It sought to understand drinking behavior as an embodied social practice rather than just an individual rational choice, focusing on people who knew each other, such as friends or colleagues
