Collection description

Overview:

Springboard is a leading provider of footfall counting and artificial intelligence (AI)-powered analytics to retailers, landlords, and government bodies.

Springboard Research Ltd was a privately owned company established in 2002, delivering intelligence and insights into the performance of all consumer generating environments. Its core business is the provision of automated footfall monitoring across all types consumer generating environments, with a particular specialism in understanding the performance of town and city centres. Since 2022 Springboard has been part of MRI Software and this retail footfall counting and AI-powered analytics provider is now part of the MRI OnLocation Suite.

Springboard data consist of CSV files that compromises of Average Weekly Footfall by Town and Average Weekly Footfall by Location

Access and Restrictions:

UBDC's licence agreement with Springboard has now ended. UBDC shared the data widely for research over the past 10 years of the centre’s activity. Access was limited to UK-based academics conducting non-commercial, academic research.
