Collection description
This is the official register of land and property in Scotland that records all sale and long lease transactions and provides details of property ownership since 1st April 2003. There are two datasets: address and master data. There are more records in the address tables than there are in master tables because some sales correspond to multiple addresses. A single sale could represent 3 or 4 properties sometimes. The sequence simply differentiates between the different properties in the sale. This is why more addresses appear in the address database than the number of rows in the sales database.
