Collection description

This dataset contains processed validation data supporting the manuscript “Extending a Scalable Satellite-Based Vegetation Edge Detection Framework to Diverse Tropical Coasts”, accepted in Frontiers in Marine Science (2026).
The dataset includes extracted vegetation edge shapefiles generated using the VedgeSat toolkit, manually digitised validation lines derived from PlanetScope imagery, GNSS field survey lines collected in 2024, and summary tables of accuracy metrics (RMSE, R², and MPE) and NDVI threshold sensitivity testing.
The data support the validation and threshold tuning analyses presented in the associated publication.
