The dataset comprises pseudonymized transcripts of 20 interviews conducted with nonreligious fans of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings. The author collected and processed these interviews for his doctoral thesis in English Literature (2026), which explored the reception of Tolkien’s fantasy classic among nonreligious readers.
