Sent author DOI, checking about two ambiguous names, project code and CC-BY for data.

2026-08-26 JB Author has confirmed data and documentation can be sharded with CC-BY licence, confirmed email address and funding.  Requested data to be made live. Moved files to Arkivum, checking with MMD and MM if this was okay to do.. Author would like data to be made live.

2026-08-27 GA Matt has asked to check if the ethics paperwork is the same for both records, If so we can treat 2283 the same as we have 2317. Have checked and ethics for 2283 was EA34/22/College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences Ethics Committee, University of Glasgow and ethics for 2317 was Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre (KCMC) University Research Ethics Committee (698 and 829); National Institute of Medical Research (NIMR), Tanzania (NIMR/HQ/R.8c/Vol. I/1140 and NIMR/HQ/R.8a/Vol. IX/2079) University of Otago Human Ethics Committee (H17/052), and University of Glasgow College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences Ethics Committee (200140149). (no approval number noted). Have sent this to Matt asking for advice. Author has emailed again asking for record to go live

2026-08-27 MMD Ethics approval number looks like vet school committee, not MVLS committee. Have asked researcher to confirm this. If Vet school committee, there may not be PIS and consent form if UofG herd was used in study. 
If UofG herd, data can be shared without delay. If private herd, need to check the consent and PIS. If animal data only and no info that might identify herd location or farmer identity, data should also be OK to share.

2026-08-28 MSM Looking at the ethics paperwork, it appears there's no consent for sharing the data via the repository, so it should remain closed.

2026-08-28 LTW Author says they want to "to confirm that all is final in your system" before making record live. Provided the DOI and advised that we're currently checking the ethics paperwork.

2026-08-31 AA Replied to researcher that data will need to be closed due to contradictions in PIS and consent form. Advised that they would need to contact approving ethics committee if they wanted data to be made open and asked when they want to make record live. Data deleted from Enlighten record, still to be ingested into Arkivum but waiting until data record live in case any last minute changes.

2026-09-15 MMD Ethics committee happy for researcher to reconsent herd owner for open data. In the meantime,  researcher has asked for record to be public so that DOI resolves. Added note about current data availability and made public.
