      <item>25605000</item>
    </divisions>
The Transport, Housing &amp; Wellbeing (‘THAW’) Study investigated the relationships between health, housing, and transport, with a particular focus on how housing quality, the surrounding environment, and modes of transport impact physical and mental health. The study employed a repeat cross-sectional design, surveying individuals living in the same areas of West Central Scotland in both 1997 and 2010. In 2010, 2,092 adults aged 17 to 95 took part. Respondents provided information on a wide range of topics including health and wellbeing, lifestyle, housing conditions, neighbourhood characteristics, transport use, employment, and financial circumstances.
