Advised author that if different data collected under the same ethical approval and restrictions then it can be under the same deposit/user license conditions as #1944 "Controlled data deposit with bespoke user license agreement from Contracts" . 2026-06-19 LTW Author inquires about response to data transfer link sent on 17/06/2026 and forwards question from publisher about making data 'available upon request in a repository indefinitely'. Emailed author to confirm which folder contains closed data. Checking with MSM about indefinite storage.

2026-06-19 LTW Author advised that **"the folder labelled open_data_1951 needs to be controlled data"**.  Checking with author if readme needs updating (as it refers to file 'Folder: Open_data_1951'). PIS states that data will be stored "up to 10 years following PhD completion. After this period, further retention may be agreed, or your data will be securely destroyed in accordance with the relevant standard procedures." Deposit form also says up to 10 years. Checking with MSM.  - Replied to author that publisher requirement is justification for extension of retention period. Made note in retention field.

Have not yet downloaded data. Have restricted access to readme and ethics paperwork for now, until we have final confirmation what can be shared and what not.

2026-06-22 MSM Author confirmed only documentation can be shared. Saved correspondence as addendum to deposit agreement. Deposited data to Arkivum and made record live. Please use the same user licence as 1944 if this data is requested.

2026-06-25 GA Author has reported that DOI still hasn't resolved. Have put in call to Ivanti helpdesk

2026-06-26 LTW DOI is now resolving. Author said that they're contacting PLoS to amend DAS according to our previous suggestion.
