The Integrated Multimedia City Household Survey dataset which was produced as a result of a collaborative ESRC-funded project across the University of Glasgow, Newcastle and Sheffield. The purpose of the iMCD datasets was to provide a 360° overview of a life in the city, combining various datasets and methods of collection. Part of the overall collection is the GPS Data. 333 iMCD Household survey participants agreed to wear a GPS device to record their movements for a seven day period. Participants completed an activity diary on the first day, providing ground truth for the data. GPS coordinates are captured every five seconds for each participant. The data can be linked to the other iMCD survey and lifelogging data by participant ID.
