The compressed folders contain the temperature field data from CFD calculations of a compressible, turbulent, channel flow with an imposed temperature perturbation. The folder names are composed of three parts that are descriptors of the CFD simulation that generated the data contained in the folders: > dns/rans : the turbulence treatment that was used, > amp10pc : the amplitude of the temperature pulse imposed in the flow is 10 per cent of the base flow temperature, > 000h/200h/800h : the value of the convective heat transfer coefficient h at the channel walls in Watts per square meter per Kelvin. The zero value corresponds to the adiabatic walls case. The folders with data from the heat transferring walls cases (where h is not zero) contain two subfolders of data. The subfolder "with_wave" contains the temperature field data for the flow WITH the imposed temperature perturbation and the subfolder "without_wave" contains the temperature field data for the same flow WITHOUT the imposed temperature perturbation. The data in the latter subfolder are used to scale the wave amplitude. The folders/subfolders contain ASCII files with the temperatures at the grid nodes. There are a total of 1139 ASCII files in each folder/subfolder that correspond to 1139 time steps. The ASCII filenames are in the format "T_####", where #### is the time step. There is also an ASCII file named "t" that contains the times corresponding to the 1139 time steps. In each "T_####" file there are three columns of data. The first column contains the x-coordinates of the grid nodes, the second column contains the y-coordinates of the grid nodes, and the third column contains the spanwise averaged temperatures at the grid nodes.
