README – TFB PET DICOM Dataset 1. Dataset Overview This dataset contains PET DICOM imaging studies acquired as part of the project “Multi-scale in vivo imaging of tumour evolution using a germline conditional triple-reporter mouse”. The scans include [18F]tetrafluoroborate (TFB) PET with MRI for anatomical co‑registration. Studies cover both liver and lung tumour models in conditional genetically engineered mouse strains harbouring the Rosa26LSL‑NRL triple-reporter allele. All files are provided in anonymised DICOM format with acquisition dates and institutional metadata preserved. 2. Contents Summary The DICOM server export includes two main categories of imaging sessions: A. Liver PET studies Typical study descriptions include: “LIVER PD – TFB PET – GM – UBMX2.2f” Date: 2022‑09‑19 Modality: TFB PET + Liver MRI Operator: “Tom Bird – R09 – Liver MRI – SMB‑DMB” Notes: Single‑mouse liver PET/MRI scan using the TFB reporter readout. “LIVER LUNG TB_DYL–TFB PET–EB–AA‑UBMX4.1h–UAKA16.4b” Date: 2024‑06‑13 Modality: Combined liver and lung PET/MRI session Operator: “Tom Bird – R09 – Liver MRI – SMB‑DMB” Multi‑bed acquisition allowing simultaneous capture of thoracic and abdominal structures. B. Lung PET/MRI studies Multiple lung imaging series are included, with typical naming patterns such as: “LUNG_UNRLKP_CRE_TFB_PET_JO4_UAKA7.1c” “LUNG_UNRLKP_TFBBED1_UAKA35.1d” “LUNG_UNRLKP_TFB_PET_EB_UAKA47.3e–48.3f” These series represent: TFB PET‑MRI scans of NRL‑KP (Kras^G12D; Trp53^fl/fl; Rosa26LSL‑NRL) lung tumour models Imaging dates spanning 2021–2024 All datasets correspond to individual animals imaged once per listed date. 3. Imaging Modalities and Protocols Radiotracer: [18F]tetrafluoroborate (TFB), a PET tracer for mNIS reporter gene expression Scanner: Mediso NanoScan PET/MR (1T) PET acquisition: Static imaging, 70–90 minutes post‑injection MRI: T1‑weighted anatomical sequence for co‑registration Format: DICOM (PET and MRI datasets for each session) 4. Animal Models Represented The imaging corresponds to mice bearing the following conditional alleles (various combinations across studies): Rosa26LSL‑NRL (mNIS‑TagRFP‑Luc2 triple reporter) KrasLSL‑G12D Trp53fl/fl Ctnnb1ex3 Rosa26LSL‑MYC These models are used for: Lung adenocarcinoma studies (NRL‑KP) Hepatocellular carcinoma studies (NRL‑BM) Ubiquitous Cre induction controls (NRL‑CV, NRL‑CE) 5. File Organisation Each folder corresponds to one DICOM study and includes: Full PET image set DICOM header fields Recommended usage: load in VivoQuant, Fiji, 3D‑Slicer, or any DICOM‑compatible viewer. 6. Ethical and License Notes All imaging was performed under UK Home Office licences and institutional animal ethics approval. The dataset is released under CC‑BY (unless Enlighten enforces a specific licence). 7.
