### Description
The primary dataset comprises anonymized data from an online survey conducted with n=139 student participants using Qualtrics in March 2024. It includes basic demographic data [institutional school (choice of 8 options); nationality (UK, EU, other, prefer not to say); location of where previous degree was studied (UK; elsewhere); age range (<25; 25+); gender (cis male, cis female, trans male, trans female, non binarynon-conforming, other)] and responses to Lickert-style and open-ended questions.

### Methodology
Quantitative analyses of Lickert-style question responses were performed using SPSS software; qualitative and semi-quantitative analyses of open-ended question responses were performed manually using Excel.

### Contents
There are 4 folders with contents:

1. 'Survey Questions' - this folder contains the file 'Unformatted_Survey.docx' which outlines the online survey questions.

2. 'Primary Survey Data' - this folder contains two files: 'Qualtrics_Exported_Data.xlxs' (an Excel file of exported survey response data from Qualtrics) and 'SPSS_Quantitative_Primary_Data_File.sav' (a file comprising all responses to Lickert-style questions that was created in SPSS). The SPSS file incorporates categorisation of variables as outlined on the 'Variable View' tab in SPSS.

3. 'Data Analyses Files' - this folder contains the document 'Quant_Previous_Degree_Locality_Comparison_Results_Tables.docx', a word document that contains tables that summarises the results of Kruskal Wallis statistical test of demographic sub-comparisons between survey participants who had completed their previous degree in the UK (PDUK) vs those who had completed this elsewhere (PDE), and three further subfolders:

Sub-folder 1 is'Quantitative Analyses Files'. This has 4 further sub-folders: (i) 'Crosstabs', which contains the file 'Crosstabs_Previous UK Degree.spv', an output file that was generated in SPSS of crosstab sub-group comparisons between survey participants who had completed their previous degree in the UK (PDUK) vs those who had completed this elsewhere (PDE), (ii) 'Kruskall Wallis', which contains the file 'Quant_Analysis_Previous UK Degree_KW_Test.spv', an output file that was generated in SPSS of Kruskall Wallis comparison between PDUK and PDE participants, (iii) 'Plots', which contains the file 'Quant_Analysis_Previous UK Degree_Graphs.spv', an output file that was generated in SPSS to graph median responses of PDUK and PDE participant sub-groups, (iv) 'Shapiro-Wilk', which contains the file 'Quant_Analysis_Previous UK Degree_SW_Test.spv', an output file that was generated by SPSS of Shapiro-Wilk test that was used to evaluate normality of distribution of the data.

Sub-folder 2 is 'Qualitative Analyses Files'. This folder contains the document Qualitative_Analysis.xlsx, an an Excel document that outlines thematic coding and analyses of open-ended survey responses.

Sub-folder 3 is 'Semi-Quantitative Analyses Files. This folder contains the document 'Semi_Quant_Analyses_Open_Question_Responses.xlsx', an Excel document that outlines semi-quantitative analyses of open-ended survey responses.

4. Manuscript Files
This folder contains the manuscript file ('Loveridge et al 2025 International Journal for Educational Integrity.docx'), and additional files ('Additional File 1.docx'; 'Additional File 2.xlsx', 'Tables.docx', 'Figure 1.tif' and 'Figure 2.tif').

### Usage Notes
- All timestamps are in GMT.
- Scripts provided support basic statistical analysis and visualization.
