Short description: Context: This data set is attached to a larger funded project (NE/V019910/1): “Learning to adapt to an uncertain future: linking genes, trees, people and processes for more resilient treescapes”; Primary Investigator: Dr Stephen Cavers; UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology. There is one single file directory, containing 30 ‘real verbatim’ transcripts of recorded interviews with a range of professionals working across the forestry sector undertaken June - October 2023. Methodological information: * 29 of the 30 interviews were 1-2-1. Most were recorded in the field, others were recorded via a remote platform (Teams or Zoom).   * 16 men and 14 women were interviewed; 16 were working in Scotland, nine in England, one in Wales, one in Ireland, and three in Central Europe.   * A significant number of interviewees were not currently working in their countries of birth, and some brought experiences and perspectives from other continents, including North America, Africa and Australasia.  * As agreed on Respondents’ consent forms, all transcripts have been anonymised as far as is practically possible. This means that some information which would likely make Respondents identifiable has been redacted, including name, location, job title and workplace. Redacted information is indicated in the transcripts with the use of […] Ellipsis not contained in square brackets signifies a faltering or suspension point in the speech itself.  * Each Respondent is identified with a different number, from 1 to 30.   * The data set is presented as a PDF document.   Date of data collection: June – October 2023.
