Within each heat treatment folder there will be two subfolders:

Each sample is measured twice and the measured loss at each temperature step is taken to be the minimum of the two average measured losses of both suspensions


Coating loss calculated using Equation 1 in paper
For each sample:
Substrate thickness estimated in "thick" excel
Coating's Young's Modulus given in "youngs" excel

Control data was fitted using a high order polynomial to easily allow the substrate loss to be subtracted from measured loss of coated cantilevers.

Note: Generally avoided Mode 8 losses due to a large % of unphysical results. This is believed to be due to excess loss measured on Mode 8 of the control data, where phi uncoated > phi coated. However, remeasuring this was not deemed essential for the publication.
