pH: pH measured with Exo Sonde
Abs254: Absorbace at 254 nm by UV/Vis spectroscopy
DOC: The Dissolved Organic Carbon concentration in mg/L estimated from the UV/Vis spectra using the method of Carter et al, (2012). 
E2E3: The E2:E3 ratio - The ratio of the absorbance at 250 nm to that at 365 nm
SUVA254: The Single UV Absorbance at 254 nm normalised to the concentration of DOC. 
S275_295: The Spectral slope between 275-295 nm. Helms et al, (2008)
NO3-N: The concentration of nitrogen as nitrate in mg/L, measured by the direct UV/Vis method of Edwards, Hooda and Cook, (2001)
Turbidity: The turbidity measured as the absorbance at 700nm calibrated against a Formazin Turbidity Standard
AvgTemp1Day: The air temperature on the day of sampling averaged from the nearest weather stations to the sample area
AvgTemp30Day: The mean air temperature for the previous 30 days before sampling averaged from the nearest weather stations to the sample area
Rainfall_preceding24hours: The rainfall measured at the nearest rain gauge for the 24 hours preceding 10 am on the day sampling was conducted
DystrophicBlanketPeat: The percentage of dystrophic blanket peat soil cover calculated using the Soil Survey of Scotland (partial cover) data
PeatyGley: The percentage of peaty gley soil cover calculated using the Soil Survey of Scotland (partial cover) data
PeatyGleyedPodzol: The percentage of peaty gleyed podzol soil cover calculated using the Soil Survey of Scotland (partial cover) data
OtherMineralSoils: The percentage of the sum of other mineral soil types calculated using the Soil Survey of Scotland (partial cover) data
