This file explains each of the files in the subfolders. All files bar the two text files are digital micrograph files formatted as .dm4 or .dm3: 400C and as dep: HAADF image for sample annealed at 400C HAADF image for sample as deposited 600C: Contains subfolders for each of the four datasets from which bubbles were counted, for each dataset; Unprocessed low-loss, high-loss and survey (i.e. HAADF) images Processed MLLS data set incl. the fit, the residuals, the red. chi-sq and fit coefficients Final bubble image Standard: The files used to create the final semi-empirical cross-section, all in digital micrograph format: Ar scaled EELS atlas cross section v3: the final cross-section Ar Background EELS Atlas: argon L-edge background from the EELS atlas Ar EELS atlas crop: argon L-edge EELS atlas data cropped to fit the area in which we were interested Ar HS cross section: edge scaled by Hartree slate cross section Ar model: model of argon edge extracted from experimental data by digital micrograph's elemental quantification plug in Text files: ar_bubbles_n_d; lists number of argon atoms in the counted bubbles (first column) and their diameter in Angstroms (second column) ar_bubbles_vdw_pressures3: lists the pressures of the bubbles in Pascals, calculated using the Van Der Waals equation For further information please feel free to contact me at: r.cummings.1@research.gla.ac.uk
