About the files --------------- The project created a website which fronted a relational database powered by MySQL. -- pone_dump_2021_03_15.sql: is the dump (created by the software mysqldump) of the relational database data created by the project. Those familiar with how to do such things can readily reload it the MySQL database engine. With some work, it might be loadable into other similar engines such as Postgres. -- EAR-diagram.png: is an entity-attribute-relationship diagram for the database's design. -- structure.pdf: is a document that describes the database structure. -- sources.pdf: is material taken from the PoNE website that describes the historical sources for the project, and how data was harvested from them. -- historical introduction.pdf: is material taken from the PoNE website that introduces the project, describes the principles used for naming people in PoNE, and provides a brief glossary of terms. Thanks to King's Digital Lab, King's College London, who kindly provided an original dump of PoNE's database, from which most of the material in this archive was created. --- John Bradley (15 March, 2021)
